It’s as simple as it sounds. I, and my co-workers, cannot watch movies even as paying customers. We may as well not be allowed in the building while off the clock.

In my old work place (Up the shitty military base ugh) we weren’t allowed to use any of the facilities without express permission from our manager. So that means no going to the shop at lunch time, no cafe, no cinema no laundrette. Wouldnt have been a big deal if 80% of the people working there weren’t residents of the camp!!! If your partner in the military had a work related meal, you weren’t allowed to attend with them without a letter of consent. Dick Holes.

I honestly had no idea that there were movie theaters that had rules like this. At my theater, not only can I see films for free, but we are also allowed to take one person for free to see a movie any time we want (as long as I’m off the clock, of course…).
It seems counter-productive to not let your employees be able to see films. It seems like you should have some knowledge of a what you’re showing if you work at a theater…
